Or are you just starting out, maybe a little leery of just how this whole online marketing works?
I got it, I hear you – loud and clear! ‘Cause I have been there, done that….I know what works and what is not even worth spending a penny on. I’ve built a business helping other businesses reach their ideal market, get noticed by Google and attract clients….the free way, yep I said FREE! I know, hard to believe especially given all the crap that’s out there. But here it is, my three traffic tactics that won’t cost you a dime!
The 3 top traffic tactics that work and don’t even cost a dime
Here’s my tried and true list of traffic tactics that actually work:
Of all the effective website traffic tactics that can get you best results, linking to and from other websites is the one of the most widely used method. Just make sure that the online business you are exchanging links with is related to your own business. I know you may be thinking – Seriously, why would I even bring that up. Well you’d be surprised how many people just getting started here that they should use backlinks to get traffic.
While there is obviously truth that backlinks help get more eyes on your site, there are many companies out there offering backlinks at cheap rates – stay away from them. If you truly want to build a strong, reliable brand online – build your community and exchange links with other like-minded businesses. In the words of the late great sales trainer Zig Ziglar, “you can get everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
Meet Meta Tags
If you’ve read any of my material or taken my training you know that I talk A LOT about Meta Tags – yes they are that important.
Meta tags are the little descriptions you see when you are searching for something online. Most websites will automatically pull a meta description usually from the first sentence or two (up to 160 characters) as the description. If your keywords or phrase does not appear in that description, you’re missing out – BIG Time!! Not to worry – it’s a quick fix. Either make certain your keywords are in the first sentence or simple rewrite the meta description on the SEO portion of your blog post. Don’t know what I’m referring to when I say the SEO portion – or if any of this sounds over your head – I break it all down in clear simple terms in this training.
